[Mar. 16, 2026] KD Navien won three Winner awards at the iF Design Award 2026 (International Forum Design Awards 2026) for the โ€œNavien Mat Four Seasons Air/Proโ€ and the new UI of its heating and cooling โ€œThermostat.โ€

The iF Design Award is one of the worldโ€™s top three design competitions, evaluating design quality and innovation across nine categories, including โ–ฒ Product design and โ–ฒ User Interface (UI). KD Navien has won eight main awards over six different years since its first award in 2011.

The โ€œNavien Mat Four Seasons Air/Pro,โ€ which won in the Product Design category, provides comfortable sleep temperatures year-round through โ€œCOOL/COOL+ modesโ€ and โ€œWARM modes.โ€ KD Navien achieved a balance between simplicity and spatial harmony in its design, tailored for sleep products, and was recognized with this award. The Sleep Hub is easily controlled with a light touch and incorporates a โ€œhidden displayโ€ that activates only when needed, reducing sleep disruption from excess light. The design incorporates wave patterns to represent its โ€œwater-basedโ€ sleep concept, and uses layered stripe patterns on ventilation areas to complete a sophisticated look.

The โ€œThermostat,โ€ which won in the User Interface (UI) category, is an integrated heating and cooling temperature controller set to launch in the North American market. KD Navien designed the UI based on the core principle of โ€œsimple and clear operation,โ€ considering not only functionality but also user emotions and everyday experiences. It reduces information density and systematically arranges visual elements such as size, color, and contrast to guide a natural flow of attention, enhancing usability for intuitive operation. The system delivers a personalized experience with features such as energy-saving automation, weather-based motion, customized standby images, and dark and light themes.

Meanwhile, KD Navien achieved the milestone of winning all three of the worldโ€™s top design awards last year, including the US International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA), Germanyโ€™s Red Dot Design Award, and the iF Design Award. With its brand identity โ€œOptimize,โ€ KD Navien has focused on designs that integrate spatial harmony and functionality, enhancing accessibility through improved usability for both consumers and installers.
